Life Is Wonderful

A song with both luminous and dark lyrics... Incidentally, this article was meant to go online back in June, but since any video posted by fans was systematically removed from YouTube, I had to wait for the official release of this wonderful clip (by Italian actress/director Asia Argento) which was well worth the delay, wasn't it? A reminder for those who don't live in France or haven't seen all the posters on display all over the country: Indochine's new album 13 is to be released on Friday, but should be aired tomorrow on RTL2 radio (broadcast time stil unknown as yet).

La vie est belle

The only reason I was born here is to be with you
As someone who will be and will be talked about.
The only reason I was born here is to be with you.
I'll be someone who will be, you'll see.
We'd go and and make life — that we could do.
We'd go and make the night as far as you can.
The only reason I was born here is to be with you.

Life's both wonderful and cruel
Just like we are sometimes.
I was born only to be with you.
Life's both wonderful and cruel
Just like you are sometimes.
I was born only to be with you.

I felt so proud to live with you though
Life comes to you in a flash, your cancer is mine,
It was so obvious I was meant to end up with you.
Your blood is mine, together we can be one
And we'd be invincible — something we could do.
We wanted all sorts of possibilities as far as we can.

Life's both wonderful and that cruel
Just like we are sometimes.
I was only born to be with you.
Both lonely and sad, we'd have thought it possible,
But it can't just end up here.
We could have seen nothing but our smiles and joys.
I was born only to be with you.

Life's wonderful, but cruel sometimes,
It feels we are sometimes.
My life's as beautiful as you.
Life's wonderful, but cruel sometimes
Just like we are, you and I.
I was born only to be with you.
We'd have believed in our smiles and joys.
The only reason I was born here is to be with you.
