Something Human

All you sensitive, perceptive people and those of you awakening from the kind of universal trance we've all been unknowlingly and unwillingly immersed into, may certainly agree that the current energies have changed. That something huge is happening right now on this planet. Something invisible our rational minds won't grasp, yet that we can all feel with great strength and intensity. According to some astrologers it's because of the many eclipses occurring this summer magnifying planetary influences, but it's not the only reason. Five planets including all the “generational” ones (planets which revolution around the zodiac wheel takes decades hence influencing generations of people born at the same time) are in retrograde motion, some kind of freeze frame, where all the energies come to a standstill for us to take the time to infuse and assimilate.

I'll spare you the details, however I felt it was important to mention since Muse's new single, just released a couple of days ago, is actually echoing this overall sensation. Especially the line where Matt Bellamy sings “I'm about to break through”. For this is how I feel too and not just I. Obviously, I'm not talking of those whose “circuits” have been blown beyond repair and can never hope to ever awaken and may certainly keep challenging us in times to come. The important thing is that our minority attains the adequate level to vibrationally defeat the effects of the oppressive minority (“Let's burn all the money, absolve all the lies, and wake up unscathed — the big picture's gone, replaced with visions of you”). We are exhorted to “face all our fears come out of the shade” and transcend the negative. Incidentally, that was the message I channelled while replying to some commenters on social media, that it is much quicker and less energy-consuming to transmute the negative (low vibrations) rather than attempting to eradicate it. The reason why violence, agitation and anger will do achieve nothing but fuelling and amplifying these energies as they operate on the same frequency range. Those who are too deadlocked and deeply identify with their ego can never grasp that and hope to ever get out. The ongoing war is not happening outside but within as Matt reminds us in the first verse of the song (“I know it's self imposed”).

This is a violent, kitsch and flamboyant video in pure Hollywood fashion (Muse's trademark), reeking up of cognitive dissonance as so often. I have long questioned Muse's integrity, however my current level of awareness, my research, readings, interactions, perceptions and other deep personal and extrasensory experiences have all enabled me to now intuitively grasp that, in this matrix of illusion, nothing is ever all black or white and that you may have to play it real smart to save your own skin. For whoever infiltrates the big league and operates from within need to resort to all sort of clever tricks (and conquer their own fears) in order to stay in the chess-game and keep undermining — or neutralise their influence on the masses. Obviously, as I said, the message won't get through everyone, but it's all about reaching a critical mass so as to rebalance the forces in play. For more information on that, please refer to my many posts on quantum physics.

Something Human

My circuits have blown,
I know it's self imposed,
And all I have shared —
And all I have loved
Is all I’ll ever own,
But something has changed:
I feel so alive.

My life just blew up,
I'd give it all up,
I’ll depressurise.
Aahh 10,000 miles left on the road...
Aahh 500 hours until I am home.
I need something human
Human, human, human, human...

Let's face all our fears come out of the shade,
Let's burn all the money,
Absolve all the lies,
And wake up unscathed —
The big picture's gone,
Replaced with visions of you.

Now life can begin,
I've cleansed all my sins,
I'm about to break through.
Aahh 5000 miles left on the road...
Aahh 200 hours until I am home.
I need something human
Human, human, human...

And I need the touch,
And something human, human, human...
Aahh Less than a mile left on the road...
Aahh I will be crawling through your door.
I need something human
Human, human, human...
And I need your love,
And something human, human, human...

Matt Bellamy, 2018

About this song

I feel like we’re moving into this age of virtual reality and also simulated reality,” says Bellamy, hinting that will be one of the themes of the forthcoming album, recorded in between shows during this extensive endless 18-month tour and due out in November. “The idea of fantasy becoming real, simulations becoming something that’s part of our everyday life. Whether it be in the realms of science, where they’re simulating black holes, the beginning on the Big Bang and all that stuff, or whether it be in entertainment. I feel like this age is coming where the simulation really becomes fundamental to how we interact with our everyday lives, but also with our understanding of the universe and science and so on. For that very reason we live in age where because you can be anything or anywhere you want in a simulation.

To mainstream media, he told that the odd side reason regarding the visual style of the video (and of their shows in general) is that “the age we’re in right now feels quite a bit like the early ‘80s, in terms of there’s some correlation in the political changes that are happening in the world, and there’s some sort of reaction where people are tuning out a bit to what’s going on because it’s too troubling and too complicated to understand. So some people are choosing to revert into nostalgia and fantasy and dream-like states to escape reality.

Entropy

In an isolated system
Entropy can only increase.

"Isolated System", Muse (2012)

Every year as you know it, my neighbours and I are treated to a firework display right on our doorstep. Which may sound wonderful to some of you is actually more a curse than a blessing. Since I've already detailed the reasons why on top of the obvious waste of public money at the expense of the actual needs of citizens, please refer to my previous post.

This year, I've decided to stop playing the Matrix's undermining game and raise my vibrations instead by seeing the glass half-full rather than half-empty, focusing exclusively on the bright side of the matter. Which didn't prevent me from remaining fully aware and taking adequate precautions such as wearing a protective mask and glasses against toxic fumes and dust as well as some repellent against the winged vampires from the nearby pond (for whom this type of event is a feast from heaven). And I must say the pyrotechnicians have done a brilliant job this time. I feel so frustrated that my video display is far from rendering the beauty of what my always marvelling eyes saw last night.

As for my ears, it's another story with the never-ending tributes to our national Elvis who died last year and will probably never cease to haunt us from hereafter to the great despair of all the nonplussed such as yours truly. Wouldn't want to offend anyone who might like him, so I won't call him by name. So if you think you know who I'm talking about, just remember that there is only one slip of the tongue to take you from casually to casualty. Always resourceful, I simply called upon Muse to offer you an ad hoc soundtrack while the whole video is being hosted by Radiohead's WASTE network. Thank you guys!

Entropy: a measure of the unavailable energy in a closed thermodynamic system that is also usually considered to be a measure of the system's disorder, that is a property of the system's state, and that varies directly with any reversible change in heat in the system and inversely with the temperature of the system; broadly: the degree of disorder or uncertainty in a system (source)

Storming Day

When I get cornered
I fancy a French summer —
A perfect summer
Where nothing could happen to me.
Sorry for the national frost,
Such a hellish country —
Slow death on the way!

"Un été français", Indochine (2017)

On this day of national affront, if the pastille's so bitter you can't swallow it, why not storming the Bastille instead? Oops, sorry, totally forgot it'd already happened some 229 years ago! So the infamous fortress initially designed to protect the second gateway at the eastern edge of Paris — also used as a prison to detain bad puppets — was actually totally torn down in 1789. A couple of decades later, after a second French revolution — less popular in people's minds but just as bloody — it was replaced by the famous July Column surmounted with a winged spirit on a gilded globe, the shackles of slavery in one hand and the torch of the Illuminati in the other (as a direct reference to the myth of Prometheus who stole the light from the gods and was chained to the top of a mountain by Zeus/Jupiter), and the golden Guiding Star (Venus) on top of his head. Venus is also known as Phosphorus/Lucifer “the bringer of dawn” in the morning and Hesperus/Vesper in the evening. Note that the word “revolution” stems from the latin word revolutio which means cycle, deriving from revolvere “roll back, instigating a circular motion, revolving to a starting point”. Ron, ron, ron, little patapon1, if you can't see the outrage, stay in line with the flock. If you do, remember that as required by the law of free will and consent, the truth has always been lying (no pun intended here) right there before our very eyes to see for he who is willing to look from a higher perspective. I'm not encouraging you to storm the July Column — storm the Shadows over Orion2 would be a much better option.

Endnotes

  1. "Il pleut, il pleut, bergère" is a French rhyming song about a shepherdess (French queen Marie Antoinette), which would have been sung for the creation of the National Guard after Bastille Day in July 1789. Its author would also have hummed it on the scaffold on the day of his execution a couple of years later.
  2. "À l'assaut des ombres sur l'Ô", Indochine (1985) literally translating to “tracking down the shadows over O”.

When It Rains

A couple of years ago, in an early post featuring the Waterboys' poignant "Rags", I had introduced you to a great alternate cover version by an American band called Ten Ten. Since no man is a prophet in his own land and with their music being mostly inspired by the British new wave of “heroic rock” that emerged in the early 80's, the quartet from Richmond, Virginia, formed on a 10th of October (hence the name Ten Ten) had to move to Europe where they toured with the Waterboys, Simple Minds, INXS, The Cure, The Bangles and the likes and signed a deal with Chrysalis Records requiring that they settle down in London where I actually met them back in '87. This single/promo clip is from their debut Chrysalis album Walk On (recorded in the Netherlands). In spite of some decent airing on MTV at the time, it didn't bring the expected commercial success for the British label to follow up on their initial investment and consequently they were left to their own devices and soon forced to disband. Same old story keeps repeating again and again, unfortunately.

This post is mostly intended as a tribute to the late bassist Peter Bell who, had he not prematurely passed away in a car crash on 6th August 2015, should have celebrated his 58th birthday today. Incidentally, in August last year I had asked guitarist/keyboard player Don Ruzek for a little help with the lyrics, but due to unforeseen circumstances and through no fault of his own this never happened (you're all forgiven, Don). Never mind, at last resort I called upon a British pal to help fill in the many blanks I couldn't decipher. We are well aware our version is not 100% accurate at all and almost certain that we messed up big time, mishearing most of the stuff. So what?

I can almost picture Pete laughing his arse off and asking us “what did you guys smoke?” Hahaha, you wouldn't believe if we told you. Come on Mark, if you happen to read this “load of baloney” as Pete would put it, please, feel free to enlighten us. After all, it's your song and as for the lines we did manage to get right, these are great lyrics. So go ahead you people, have as much of a good laugh as you like at our deviant transcription (deviant is my middle name anyway), it shouldn't stop you from enjoying this song as much as we do. Well hope you do. Feedback and editing suggestions always well appreciated, thank you.

You sleep that way with your book of rules
That some perfect stranger was fed with a spoon
To stand within another's life
Where nothing could ever stay in place.
A broken glass pulled across your face,
The storm you’re in
Takes you far away from home this time —
Takes you far away from home this time.

Somewhere there's a heaven
Where it turns you into stone.
Go free from your hearse,
There's a fire burning at home.

No one sees your tears when it's raining.
No one even cares when it's raining.
No one sees your tears when it's raining.
No one even cares.

Any fool can see in you that deep inside
A walk through that angst takes you far and wide,
With a head on so straight
It must be hard to turn —
Someone must have put it that way:
A sinking ship crosses miles away.
The storm you’re in
Takes you far from home this time —
Takes you far from home this time.

Somewhere there's a heaven
Where it turns you into stone.
Go free from your hearse,
There's a fire burning at home.

No one sees your tears when it's raining.
No one even cares when it's raining.
No one sees your tears when it's raining.
No one even cares
When it rains.

You sleep that way with your book of rules
That some perfect stranger was fed with a spoon
To stand within another's life,
Where nothing could ever stay in place.
A broken glass pulled across your face,
The storm you’re in
Takes you far from home this time —
Takes you far from home this time.

No one sees your tears when it's raining.
No one even cares when it's raining.
No one sees your tears when it's raining.
No one even cares
When it rains.

No one sees your tears
When it rains...
When it rains...
