Mrs Skower's Magical Mess Remover

In this time of the year for good resolutions, why wait until spring for a thorough house cleaning? Hold on, I see what you're getting at with your lame excuses: “Right after holiday season, I'm broke and household products are expensive. Besides, they're harmful for the environment”.

Quite arguable. By chance, I have a magical solution for you. Not a scouring charm though (you may still try using “Scourgify" or “Tergeo” with your magic wand), but Mrs Skower's famous Magical Mess Remover. This is a multi-purpose liquid household cleaner for all surfaces that will efficiently replace the bald muscular guy's while being both environment and health friendly and very cheap.

And since things always seem to go in threes, it's dead simple and quick to make. So no more excuses! Just like its commercial equivalent, you may use it pure or diluted and rinse after application or not. Don't forget to shake the bottle before use.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon liquid black soap
  • 1 teaspoon soda ash
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 litre water
  • 80 drops of your chosen essential oil (optional)

QSF 1 litre

Instructions

Dissolve soda ash in water. Add white vinegar and shake well.

Dissolve essential oils in black soap before adding to the mixture. Shake well again: it's ready!

NOTE: To keep the cost down, only use cheap oils such as citrus (lemon, orange) or tea tree. I for one chose peppermint oil for its ”kiss cool” effect efficiently killing bad smells and its invigorating fragrance that makes you want to clean the whole house.
